Visual Jockey Video

Here is an example of a Visual Jockey video. (nature visual jockey – darren.avi)

This was created using the visualJockey program. I uploaded several original images which I captured with a camera.
I then used the multiple image loader option to upload these images into the video. I then used a green border around the pictures, and a ‘Flower’ transition too – this was to relate to the Nature theme I was going for. All the images I used were images inlcuding sunshine, wildlife and scenery – again coincides with the Nature theme. I also used the 3D Effect, ‘Raytracing’ – this gave the image a ‘travelling’ effect, as if the viewer was on a journey through the woods/forest, due to the travelling motion and the green fromt eh borders and the wildlife and scenic images loaded in the video.
I also gave the video a 2D effect of ‘Shifter’, this allowed the images to move in many different ways, adding a different effect and made it look more exciting and colourful, without preventing the user form seeing the actual images.

To finish off the Visual Jockey, I added a soundtrack to the file, to play a song whilst the visual jockey effects were playing. I chose the song ‘U2 – Beautiful Day’ as my song of choice for this specific piece of work. The reason for this was it relates back to the theme of my portfolio, Nature. As the images are of beautiful images and lovely scenery and wildlife images, the song titled ‘Beautiful Day’ and the lyrics describing a beautiful day; seemed to match the visual jockey I created perfectly.
